High School

FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL ALLIE CARICO

Welcome to Upland Christian Academy High School! I am excited and blessed to be able to serve as the school’s high school principal. In my years of experience as an educator, I’ve been a junior high and high school teacher, guidance counselor, volleyball coach, student council advisor, and mentor teacher. I have been inspired by leaders who know what it means to place Christ at the center of the institution and to do whatever possible to accomplish His work. That is the mindset from which we operate at Upland Christian Academy: this school belongs to the Lord.

Our desire is to challenge our students to grow academically, physically, socially, and spiritually. From the time students step foot onto our campus until the time they walk across the stage to receive their diploma, they encounter many opportunities, tests, and challenges, which equip them with the skills, discipline, and enthusiasm necessary to be successful. Our academic excellence is demonstrated in our graduation requirements, which meet the University of California’s “a to g” requirements. Our school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and our Advanced Placement courses have been approved by the College Board audit process as providing the necessary rigor of college coursework. Equipping students with critical thinking and study skills not only helps them to learn more in high school but enables them to enjoy more success in college and future careers.

Throughout the journey, our teachers play an incredibly instrumental role. Our faculty members love their students, believe in making the most of their academic opportunity, and are passionate about encouraging the students in their walk with Christ. Not only do our teachers care for each individual student, but our students also take ownership in building our school culture, one in which every student is valued and encouraged to strive for excellence. We build community through many activities and programs including but not limited to our all high school retreat, weekly chapels, Alpha groups to keep students connected, small group Bible studies and discipleship groups, athletics, missions/apologetics trips, and meaningful community service projects. Faith, life, and learning are inseparable. Each class is taught from a biblical worldview. Whatever the students’ future vocations may be, our prayer is that they will be fully equipped to impact their world for Christ as a result of their experience here at UC Academy.

Upland Christian Academy is a wonderful place for your child to receive his/her education. We would love for you to visit our campus and experience our community first hand. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to visit or have any questions about our school.

Serving Him together,
