Community Outreach FAQS
1. How many Community Service Hours do I have to complete to graduate?
20 hours per year of attendance at UCAHS
2. Do I have to turn in 20 hours each year?
No, but it is recommended you do.
3. How many hours can I serve at the same location?
Only half of your total hours required will be counted. For example: if you attend UCAHS for 4 years, then 40 hours may be at the same location.
4. What if I serve more than the amount that will be counted?
Still turn in all the hours to be recorded, but remember not all will count for your requirement. This will keep record of all hours you served in order to have evidence for potential scholarships, etc.
5. What REALLY happens if I have not completed all my Community Service Hours by the time I graduate?
You will not graduate until all hours have been legitimately completed and recorded.
6. How do I get my hours recorded?
Download a Community Service Hours record sheet in from www.uplandchristianacademy.org, completely fill in the form (including the typed supplement), and turn it into Mr. Robinson's box in the high school office.
7. How can I check to see how many hours I have completed?
You may check RenWeb under the "Community Service" link. Please remember, it is only updated monthly.
8. How do I know if what I want to do will be counted as "Community Service?"
Any questionable service opportunities should be approved by Mr. Robinson in person or via email (
