Heart for Service

Heart for Service is an opportunity for UC Academy Junior High school students to serve their surrounding communities. By serving in our surrounding communities, students are also serving God and letting others see Jesus shining through them. Students have a minimum requirement of hours to complete, however are encouraged to obtain as many hours as they desire. Once students complete their hours, they turn in a reflection response about their experience as well as an evaluation of their performance from the on-site supervisor where they served. About once a month, JH offers a volunteer opportunity for students to participate in and serve. Students serve in many different ways. From volunteering of their time to work at a local food bank, to helping in Sunday school, to making shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child; the mission of this program is to show our students that they can make a difference in the lives of others by serving and being an example of God’s great work. Heart for service is building hearts to serve others now and hopefully for many years to come.
