Missions and outreach is a core component of the UC Academy education. It is our goal to produce students who are committed to a life of serving and giving to others. Throughout the year, students participate in local and global mission projects. Elementary students, for example, adopt missionaries and support them through prayer and financial giving. Junior High students minister in nursing homes and through community projects such as Steven’s Hope and Operation Christmas Child. High School students make a positive impact on the local and extended community by completing 10 hours of community service per semester. Some of these projects may include serving with the Red Cross, food banks, and orphanages. Students also have the opportunity to serve on various annual short term missions teams that travel to Berkeley, Utah, Mexicali, Guatemala, or overseas.
